I'd snap up each and every one of those titles on Blu-ray disc. I've heard there are rights issues preventing a release on disc of both The Dark At The Top Of The Stairs and Ice Palace. I'm not sure what the situation is with The Bramble Bush other than it's on YouTube but not on disc!

Haha ;) ..... but these movies were released in my lifetime. My definition of movie nostalgists are those who hanker for movies released before they were born.
I think many of you are going to have be content to see a lot of your favorites on TCM every year or so. George and co. are probably going to concentrate on restorations and releases that have high ROI and historical/artistic/ significance. Big stars, respected directors, critical favorites, major newsworthy important restorations. Would rather see George concentrate their efforts on upgraded transfers of well known respected classics than releasing the obscure. Of course, obscure can sometimes be in the eye of the beholder....

The Academy shamefully never awarded either Powell or Dunne honorary Oscars though they had plenty of opportunities to do so.
Myrna Loy should have gotten one for Best Years - Dunne for I Remember Mama

Too MANY MIA Mr F has a tough crowd to please, so many need to be done - we do know which MIGHT be early announcements Captain Blood - David Copperfield - but with the wealth of titles no one knows what are Mr F's targets. One musical for sure is again Three Little Words as he mentioned that title as on the lot but not yet worked on that was a year ago.

Historical and artistic significance? Like their recently released Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman? ;) Warners is a business, not a philanthropic organization intent on preserving so called film "classics". They will continue to balance more commercially viable films along with beloved Hollywood "classics". To me, a win win situation despite the complaints that instantly arise when a title is announced that the nostalgists do not consider a "classic". If Warners has a lesser known title that can be released on HD with little or no restoration, I'm sure they will continue to do so. Why not? Or should we be sitting around waiting and waiting while they work on Raintree County, High Society and Around The World In 80 Days?

With all due respect, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman has a ton of b-movie glory and respect associated with it. It's a fave of directors like Joe Dante and Q Tarantino. And I didn't say WB is a philanthropic organization. I know that better than you. Their current strategy - which seems to frustrate many forum members - will probably be the same mix of old/new/critically acclaimed/historically importannt/able to restored from original nitrate negatives/ etc.

Having viewed the restored BD, I was thrilled to see it in such great shape!! Along with a wonderful commentary with Evette Vickers and her memories of this title was pricless!!
Although, seen by some here as less worthy, I can concur that there are also many here that see this as a needed classic in their collections. Not all are "To have and have Not" nor should they be!! Each have thier own charm and personalities. There is room for all...

In terms of animation, I would like to see remastered versions of The Hobbit (with the correct audio track) and Return of the King. Secondary question for those more knowledgeable: does anyone know if Return of the King has any audio issues similar to The Hobbit (I didn’t really see ROTK until about the time the Peter Jackson films started coming out)?

Great list - Three Little Words is happening we just do not know update Mr F said a year ago the negs were on the lot. Mitty probably no chance as it is Goldwyn and we do not know if WAC deal with Goldwyn is still on. The Narrow Margin is a stunning picture and Fleischer created a masterpiece on a shoestring budget! Add Northwest Passage and that list is TOPS!

I'm a little disappointed that Three Little Words hasn't been released this year as it's my favourite Astaire film but at least there is progress (unlike some other favourites). The deal with Goldwyn seems to have just fizzled out with absolutely no news of future activity. Still I expect good things from the Warner stable in 2023/24.

I'm grateful that the Wonderful World of Brothers Grimm came out, but I wish WB Archives could go back to doing tv shows (unreleased tv shows).

Three Little Words is very much underrated - Goldwyn such a great library and zilch
