A little Bud & Lou sneak peek going into the weekend...

Below is the phenomenal custom illustration for our upcoming Season 1 release of the Abbott and Costello Show by artist Stewart McKissick.

The 3-D Film Archive is wrapping up restoration on the episodes as we speak... and you'll love how beautiful the restorations look. We're hoping to ship sets for backers of the campaign in late November, and, as the Archive's distributing partner on this release, we will announce for wide retail soon.

ENJOY!

I Hope A&C meet Captain Kidd gets a Bluray release soon. WB Archive released a DVD years ago. So I guess they own it. It was also released in 1952 after Jack and the Beanstalk. Wish ClassicFlix had it. :) View attachment 114279
Warner still has this as well as Rio Rita, Lost in a Harem and In Hollywood.
I hope they release all 4 on Blu Ray. Double features would be nice.

Wow, 48 hours in and we are already 71% funded. That is incredible, thank you SO much to everyone for your enthusiasm and support!

Seventy years ago today, they filmed exterior scenes for the first six episodes on the backlot "Roach Street" where so many classic comedies had been made in the 20s and 30s with Laurel and Hardy, Charley Chase, Our Gang and many more.

Joe Besser filmed his first appearance as "Stinky" in the Drugstore episode. Forty-three years old at the time and simply listed as "Boy" on the Call Sheet, this beloved character became an integral part of the shows madness. The world was never the same again.

"I'll harm you!"

Now just waiting for Season 2, the final season, of this most remarkable show to come out in this pristine of conditions on ALL formats. From what I read of the hard work that went into Season One, Season Two should be a shoo-in for release by the springtime 2022, along with the last few volumes of Little Rascals. Great job so far, guys!

We are SO close to finishing this massive - and challenging - restoration project. With nearly 175 reels of master 35mm sound and picture elements totaling 120,000 feet of film, there has been a LOT of work that has gone into making this show look and sound amazing.

In short: you have never before experienced this classic series in such outstanding quality!

As a special thank you to the 810 VERY generous backers who have pre-ordered this release via Kickstarter and made it all possible, I will be sharing an exclusive bonus with you next week. It's something that will shine a light on one of the great unsolved mysteries of season one...
