The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Thanks as always Mike & Patrick.

This week:
Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) for me.
Kitt Kittredge: An American Girl and Tinker Bells for the girls.

I'm debating rental vs. purchase on them though.

Mike, you might want to take a look at this week's OAR / MAR disclaimer.

Hey Mike...isn't Last Time I Saw Paris being released in BD this week? Both Amazon and High Def Digest have it as coming 10/28. Kind of a big release, IF it's still on tap. Really good movie, too.

FWIW, the "Amazon Exclusive" book with the Abbott & Costello set is exclusive in that it's only available with this set. The book is also mentioned as being included in the dvdempire, best buy and circuit city listings for the set.

I'll be picking up the Mystery Science Theater 3000 set this week.

The Best Buy ad for my area has some errors this week. In the ad, all the Blu-rays that are on sale (Halloween, Hostel Part II, Cloverfield, etc.) are $10 more than what the Round Up lists but I went to the store this morning and all the prices match the Round Up and not their ad. All that being said, I have no idea if there's a similar error in the ad for Elf.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

Anyone have any information about Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D? I saw on amazon that the dvd supposedly comes with 4 pairs of 3D glasses. Are these going to be the cheap cardboard kind with each lens a different color? Does anyone have any info? For some reason I was under the impression you could watch this with a new kind of "clear lens" 3d glasses.... I'm confused!

Valerie, my copy has four pair of cardboard glasses. One lens is red, one lens is green. I wouldn't get all twisted up over it; the 3-D on my 46 inch HDTV was less than stellar. I'd personally stick to the 2-D widescreen presentation on the other side of the disc.

Larry: Personally, I think that information is worth a lot! The amazon page sure makes it seem that they're the only ones from whom you can get the book. Thanks for straightening that out! :emoji_thumbsup:

That's what I get for not doing my research. I thought someone would have made a bigger deal over a Liz Taylor movie on BD... Thanks Mike!

I never thought Liz Taylor was that attractive, but what do I know.

Hey, did anyone ever figure out whether The Final Countdown comes out this week or next?
