Ugh.

Peg and I watched this tonight. Neither one of us cared much for it at all.

Not one of the best Charlie Chan films, but good fun anyway. This is Warner Oland's last film. He's a little muted here, but still seems in full control of his faculties, and does a good job.
I think I may watch this one today, too. I haven't seen it in a long time. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had another look at Woman On The Run yesterday. This is a very good crime film that I enjoy more with each viewing. I've never been a major fan of Ann Sheridan but she's excellent in this. I might watch They Drive By Night today which is the only other film where I've really liked Ann Sheridan. (It's directed by Raoul Walsh so it's not surprising that she gave a first class performance)

Knowing the the Blu-ray of WIld Rovers is coming, I thought I'd drag out my DVD and watch it after a long time away from it. I'll see if I want to upgrade as I don't remember anything about how it looked.

In advance of the forthcoming Blu-ray disc, I watched the DVD of The Grissom Gang yesterday. The picture quality is excellent for standard definition but it's non-anamorphic! The Grissom Gang is a superb crime/gangster movie with good performances all round, especially from Kim Darby. The film is not for the squeamish but I've always liked and admired it enormously. That Blu-ray disc cannot arrive too soon!

I'll be playing TV catch-up today, and it will take longer than normal because my DVR malfunctioned last night, and I suspect I'll have to watch most of what I didn't see last night On Demand with commercials intact.

I was right about my DVR. I got most everything watched this afternoon but The Orville which only recorded the first 41 minutes. I'll have to get it On Demand tonight.
