Todd, The World According to Garp was released by WAC on Blu some time ago. I know, coz I bought it. I imagine it’s still available for purchase.how about these titles?

Also, The Naked Jungle is available on Blu from your personal favourite, Imprint . It’s in serviceable shape too.
Rick, to be clear, I wasn’t trying to inspire confidence, just giving an honest appraisal in alerting Todd to its current availability, as he posted it among his wished-for Blu rays."Serviceable shape" is not a term that inspires confidence for an expensive purchase...
Ah, yes! The stunning and vivacious Lucille Bremer! The other one I'd like is YOLANDA AND THE THIEF because each of the Minnelli's they've done has been a revelation.
OoooooooooPs, thanks!!! I was primarily hoping for a US Domestic version. I'vebought some imprint titles, they have not bowled me over. I'll wait...Todd, The World According to Garp was released by WAC on Blu some time ago. I know, coz I bought it. I imagine it’s still available for purchase.

Land of the Pharaohs and Helen of Troy have been on top of my Bluray wish list forever. I have them both on Digital SD in Widescreen on Movies Anywhere. Not in HD but they are watchable. Better than nothing for now.I'm starting to doubt if those two lovely epics, Land Of The Pharaohs & Helen Of Troy will ever be released, but I have been suckered into thinking that I'll have Scaramouche before too long, what with those other Technicolor swashbucklers getting a WAC release.
Agreed but dang it, both of these titles were big earners for the studio...The Egyptian 1954 is still MIA. I di buy the French edition, it is much better than the DVD but, if the studio or another company like Kino, Arrow or Crtierion did it, I know it would finally look the way it should. With a cast like Jean Simmons, Peter Ustinov, Edmund Purdom, Victor Mature, Gene Tierney....come on!!!Land of the Pharaohs and Helen of Troy have been on top of my Bluray wish list forever. maybe shout factory might looked into this 90's family/teen classic. One title I always forget to mention is Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead
The DVD transfer is crap, needs a whole new HD scan. My fear is if it gets licensed out we will end up getting a dated transfer.

A few years ago Paramount and Warner Bros. had a deal where Warner Bros released most Paramount titles. At that time "Naked Jungle" which had been out of print became available as a Warner Archive release. When the deal ended all the Paramount pictures released by the Archive were removed. It was at this time we got double features on WHV such as Ben Hur/The Ten Commandments and Casablanca/African QueenDon't know how NAKED JUNGLE became a WAC title, but it is pretty firmly a Paramount property.

It was released under WB but only on dvd, Imprint did pretty much a HD unpgrade but not a real restoration....for the price nice to have but would really love to get a full restoration edition!!Don't know how NAKED JUNGLE became a WAC title, but it is pretty firmly a Paramount property.

Agreed, I do have the Imprint edition but it's way too dark in places and it looks more like an HD Bump than any real upgrade, it's mile better than the dvd but that said, I'd much rather have the real deal with WAC. Much closer to the OCN, right?Todd, The World According to Garp was released by WAC on Blu some time ago. I know, coz I bought it. I imagine it’s still available for purchase.
