Ursela Andress was amazingYup, I'd love to see a decent HD of She (1965). I haven't seen an acceptable transfer since I saw it at the pictures a lifetime ago. Not exactly a lost masterpiece, but I really like it & it would fill a big She sized gap in the Hammer catalogue.
I look at the glass as half-full. Especially with some older titles being released and re-released on Blu-ray, like "King Kong" (1933), "Abe Lincoln in Illinois", "The Bat", "Rain", "The Strange Loves of Martha Ivers", "Stalag 17" to name a few. Also a whole bunch being released on 4K, most include a Blu-ray disc. Even some 3D Blu-rays are getting re-released. "Sangaree", Those Redheads from Seattle", and "Jivaro" being re-released in a 3D set. I never thought I'd ever get to replace my DVDs of "The Contender" and "The Other Side of Midnight" with Blu-ray discs, but it happened. So don't be a Debbie Downer. There's a market out there for Blu-ray!With DVD and Blu-ray sales on an ever declining slope, it's sad that most of the wish lists here must be seen as wishful thinking. It's tragic, but our days are numbered.
mine is not numerbed,i've been doing it for years.still going.I look at the glass as half-full. Yes, I'm a glass-half-full man myself. I count myself very fortunate to be able still to buy high quality discs of films like The Adventures Of Don Juan and Ziegfeld Girl.I look at the glass as half-full. I'd really love to see a two-fer BD of the 2 versions of "She" like they did on "Prisoner of Zenda", but in a BD format. Do the 1935 version with Randolf Scott and the Hammer 1965 version with Ursela Andress...Yup, I'd love to see a decent HD of She (1965). I haven't seen an acceptable transfer since I saw it at the pictures a lifetime ago. Not exactly a lost masterpiece, but I really like it & it would fill a big She sized gap in the Hammer catalogue.
From what I hear, it never going to happen. I too would desire a full B5 boxset. But those that own the property are not willing to have it put to blu-ray...extreamly sad,I know!!! It seems it was HD'd for streaming only, but others might have updates and other info..?Still waiting on Blu-rays of the remastered Babylon 5.
There was a Fox release of OUATIA in 2015, which was around the time the rights went to Fox. You might have better luck getting a reasonable price on that one.Much appreciated for that info. Crap, this would explain why the previous Warner Blu-ray is going for high prices on Amazon Marketplace and the like (thanks, scalpers!), as well as being represented thereabouts with Japanese and other territories' Blu-ray releases of the film.
--And, of course, Di$ney has to get its clammy tentacles all over it, video-wise. That rapacious, mouse-eared behemoth needs a stake driven through its black heart and the soil above and around it salted.
