Evening everybody,

I'm new here, having just discovered your Forum yesterday. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here......

The question I have is, does anybody have a Sony KD-34XBR2, and if so, what do u think about it? I'm contemplating buying one this Fall. I live in the Washington, DC area, and we have a few stations broadcasting HDTV. Also, my digital cable provider, Cox Communications, says they will start broadcasting HDTV via cable this November, so maybe its time to make the jump.

You might check out the Sony KV34XBR800, which (as I recall) is considerably cheaper than the XBR2. The XBR800 does not have an ATSC (digital/HD) tuner, but they can be purchased for under $500.

And if you are using a satellite service, you will need to buy a tuner in any case.
