To borrow a page from Bill Clinton, it depends what your definition of better is. With regards to being THX certified, no one has any idea what that certification means as a specification has never been published for public consumption. One could, I imagine, determine the L/C/R (inductance/capacitance/resistance) values for several THX certified cables and reverse analyze this.

If you're looking for an audible difference between the two wires, I can't imagine a reason why there'd be one. Armed with this, it's up to you to justify spending more, less, or looking at alternative solutions.

Yeah, I just made an executive decision yesterday for the purchasing department of Welker Home Theater, Inc. Monster Cable is no longer recognized as a preferred vendor due to outrageous pricing and shady sales practices.
