Also does this model have the chroma problem like the 9000 does?
Are there any other progressive players that don't have this problem besides the Panasonic ones? How about the new Maranz high end players?
Thank you.

Joe, the Sony DVP-NS900V is a progressive-scan DVD player that also play stereo and multi-channel SACDs. I have not heard whether or not it exhibits the chroma bug problem, nor do I know if the Marantz players do. DVD players that may be chroma bug-free are the Kenwood Sovereign DV-5700 and DV-5900M changers. They both use the very well-regarded Faroudja deinterlacing chip. The '5700 is a five-disc carousel changer, and the '5900M is a 403-disc megachanger. Both play DVD-Audio discs.
