Boy,
With the warmth displayed in this thread, I'm sure we'll have Sr. Vice Prez's from all 3 of these companies stumbling over each other just for the bragging rights to join HTF first!
BTW: It's Warner...not Warners [Edited last by Trace Downing on August 02, 2001 at 02:54 AM]
I would want that job. I feel that Warner Bros. is inadequately exploiting their film and TV library, especially the MGM and RKO libraries. I'd release:
GONE WITH THE WIND (fully restored special edition, tons of supplements)
more of the MGM library, particularly:
Judy Garland musicals such as MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS, SUMMER STOCK, etc.
Marx Bros. films
other classics
FORBIDDEN PLANET (anamorphic widescreen SE)
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS (but not before convincing Warner to pay the man the $7,000,000 for the restoration)
AUNTIE MAME
LOONEY TUNES (uncut, unedited, uncensored)
and TV shows galore:
SEINFELD (it just makes good business sense)
ALF (with the character of ALF providing a commentary)
ALICE (with recipes)
GILLIGAN'S ISLAND
I'd continue the committment to quality while at the same time making the requested titles available.
Put me to work there now!
