Fox doing HD DVD in france?! (1 Viewer)

It seems that some fox titles are being released in HD DVD in france. here is the link:

None of those titles are Fox product. They're all films for which Pathe (not Fox) have distribution rights. When films like Independence Day or Kingdom of Heaven are announced for HD DVD release in France, then we can stand up and take notice.

How so? There's no evidence Fox will support HD DVD from these releases.
