Over the last three nights, I've been rewatching the last three Dirty Harry films (for some reason, Sudden Impact, The Enforcer, The Dead Pool have gotten less play than the first two). The set-ups are pretty ridiculous with the police commissioner (an over-the-top Bradford Dillman in the first two) always on Harry's back about his methods and the wasteland he leaves behind even though it's the bad guys who shoot up his car and the surroundings with machine guns, try to rob people, draw on him and leave him no choice.

They're really mindless fun once you get the lay of the land.

I've always thought the 'car' chase in The Dead Pool is one of the best ever

I watched the 1953 Titanic on Blu-ray tonight. When Fox first released this on Blu-ray, they neglected to send me a review copy, so I never got around to reviewing it. Now, years after the fact, I bought my own copy and watched it with great pleasure tonight.

Last night I watched Wicked As They Come which stars Arlene Dahl as an upward-climbing girl-on-the-make. I can never make up my mind if I like Arlene Dahl or not! I think she's hopeless in Slightly Scarlet but I admire her work in Woman's World and The Reign of Terror.
