RCA Home theater to cable box (1 Viewer)

Ok Here is what I Have : Comcast Cable box RNG150N RCA DVD Home Theater RTD325W SANYO 50 " Plazma tv I connected the HDMI cable from the cable box to the DVD Plaver and the color cables( yellow, greem,blue,white ) from the DVD to the TV. I only get the suround sound when I play DVD's and no picture when I play the tv. What did I do Wrong ???

You need to use an hdmi cable from the RCA to the display not the colored cables (yellow, green, blue, white??? Are you sure you got those colors right! ). Pretty much nothing out there won't convert an hdmi signal to analog (the colored cables), except an outboard converter maybe.
