I have a Sony Dav-Tz150 5.1 channel home theater system with a single HDMI and RCA in for audio.
I've connected it via aux-RCA to my old tv which has aux output (mini-line), 2 RCA and 2 HDMI inputs.
The right front and surround speakers are not playing. Although they are working (with FM and from setup test)
Recommended connection is RCA-RCA.

Is there a specific cable or converter I'm supposed to use. Or my TV just doesn't support 5.1 channel output.

That should work. Since FM works, the most likely problem is the cable from the TV. I'd try another RCA cable, if you have one. Also, I'm guessing that by "mini'line" from the TV, you mean some kind of dongle to get the RCA output. That could also be the problem. Just make certain it's connected well.

I suspect once you get the right channel working, the surround will also kick in.
