i boutght an rca dvd player model DRC 220n and since i bought it i've had nothing but a pin with it when its playing u can hear it running and it squeaks loudly whenever the power is turned on or off plus it will break up when playing dvds and then mabey skip like 5mins worth of the movie and there are no scratches on the dvd anyone else know of these problems. i bought an extra year warreny so i'm wondering if that would do me any good

I don't see how it could be a problem with the discs or with any settings. The player was probably just bad and made it out of the factory by accident... happens. Just return it.
