Looking for a HDTV reciever (1 Viewer)

Just purchased a sony widescreen HDTV monitor and am looking for a used HD reciever so i can see if i want to go full steam with my HD system. If anyone has any info on how to get my hands on one please let me know also which recievers are the best been looking at sony rca and hughes but other than price i dont know the difference
