Yeah, but the listing itself doesn't actually say SteelBook, hence my question.

I realized too late that I'd missed my shot at the Best Buy exclusive 4K SteelBook for Chapter 4.
I’m told that there are folks investing in steelbooks. Possibly better than a Porsche 356 or an early Ferrari.

You were right to be cautious. Apparently, it's NOT a steelbook. Here's a customer image from the reviews and it's clearly just a regular 4K keepcase in a sleeve, or "o-ring" if you will:

I know you scoff, but I like SteelBooks and have quite a few.

I think the scoff is in some buyers thinking they are investments. If you just like the look and are proud of collecting them it’s all good. If you are buying them expecting them to appreciate in value like a classic car ya are gonna be in for a bad time :)

I don't have any SteelBooks: a disk in a tin. For special editions I'd prefer a DigiBook, but the US seems to have stopped doing them (probably too much work involved), they're still very popular in Germany & France, they call them MediaBooks.

Same here. But I suspect that sometime down the road, Lionsgate will release a SteelBook set of all four films, as they did with The Hunger Games.

Sure, but I have the first three in SteelBooks already and don't want to repurchase. :)

Sorry but I found this film to be absolute crap. It's just stupid repetitive gun violence porn without any redeeming social value. John Wick isn't a superhero but the character has become one making the whole thing a huge joke. How many times can a human be hit by a car and get up and run some more? Stylish junk no matter how fancy a SteelBook you put it in.

I enjoyed the first John Wick movie a lot. The second wasn't as good, but was still fun and the fight scenes were really well done. This one was horrible.

I’ll have to watch 2,3 and 4. Just haven’t gotten around to them yet.

I think they each get better as they go. Imo, John Wick 4 is a modern action masterpiece.

These are fantasy films set within their own “Wickverse” and are not meant to be realistic.

Yeah...

The John Wick films exist in an exaggerated reality style of universe where folks can shake off things that would destroy mere mortals such as myself. John Claude Van Damme used to operate in this universe and it is a staple of many action films and franchises. The Fast and Furious franchise and The later Mad Max films both inhabit similar spaces.

These films certainly aren't for everyone and I don't belabor anyone's critique of these films on that ground. Personally, I enjoy these franchises because they are disconnected from reality. I enjoyed the fourth film quite a bit, not so much for the 'gun porn' as it is appropriately labeled :) - but more for the visual aesthetic of the film. I really loved the cinematography and the color choices of the fourth film in particular. Having Donnie Yen in your film isn't bad either. :)

To each their own as is always the case.

- Walter.
