Presented here are a few clips from our restoration of the silent Hal Roach Our Gang short MARY, QUEEN OF TOTS (1925).

In addition to the image restoration, silent film accompanist Ben Model composed and performed a new score for TOTS.

TOTS, along with two other silent Rascal shorts, will be in our upcoming The Little Rascals - The Complete Collection (Centennial Edition). It will also be included some time next year in a yet to be determined silent Little Rascal collection.

ENJOY!

We met our goal and season two of the ABBOTT AND COSTELLO SHOW will be restored from original 35mm negatives and available on Blu-ray and DVD from ClassicFlix. Thank you SO much to everyone who made it possible by pre-ordering via Kickstarter.

We could not have done this without you and look for our first stretch goal to be announced this afternoon!

We've just announced the first stretch goal on THE ABBOTT AND COSTELLO SHOW season two Kickstarter campaign. We only need to secure pre-orders for eighteen additional copies of the Blu-ray to make this happen.

Please share this project update!

Bob, you only need 17 now.

We posted our first "Newsletter" today.

We still plan to post individual announcements for releases, etc., but we get a lot of questions regarding all things related to our label so we decided to start a newsletter to be posted on a regular basis. We plan to inform on all things happening at ClassicFlix, including upcoming releases and projects, frequent catalog questions, sneak peaks and exclusive clips, and much more.

Today's post discusses the Our Gang silents project, and a newly announced Hopalong Cassidy Project as well as other items of note. We also have a few new video clips of interest.

David, when do you anticipate the official release of the second and final season of The A&C Show on both formats to happen? Maybe a March 2023 release perhaps as a best guestimate?

To early to tell, but guessing it'll be in Q2 next year.

Not to speak for anyone, but I'm not expecting it until well into 2023. The Kickstarter money won't even be collected and delivered to the restoration team until the end of October or into November.

The Eclipse Sabu set from Criterion has the best print
There is a BD from Germany but is hard to find and stay away from the Spanish BD, it appears to be a bootegged edition and if you can get the German version you will be happier, the only avviate on Euro discs is that all the bonus features are not in English, or should I say RARLY are they in English or English subtitles.

As usual, Eclipse has delivered a set of varying audio-visual quality. The Jungle Book, unsurprisingly the best preserved, seems alive with color; the matte backgrounds devised by Jack Okey and J. McMillan Johnson create eerily organic environments in which the film’s many trained animals can frolic, and upconverted to 1080p the film grain is only occasionally distracting.

I guess Classic Flix wont be on this one --- they are doing great though! Love their Merrily We Live!

I went with Crterion even though it's dvd format, the PQ is super and original mono is fine...
