We're hoping to announce ANGEL in June with a September release date.

That’s excellent news! From what little I’ve seen about out this series, I’m looking forward to this interesting obscurity.

And yes, these days just the announcement about a future announcement is cause for celebration. Such is the state of physical media today, especially for TV fans. But thanks to ClassicFlix for being one of the few still putting out these great TV releases.

That one will likely come after. Nothing firm, but later October/early November.
Thanks again, David. As I've said often here at HTF, I'll support ClassicFlix in everything they do. I'll certainly pick up Angel and The Proud Rebel, but I'm excited about the Hopalong Cassidy films the most.

Gary "as long as I know they are definitely coming, I can wait and look forward to seeing Hoppy restored - I'm certain many share my enthusiasm" O.

I am so excited for this! I cannot wait! Will pre-order as soon as I see the announcement. The scene at the museum in that episode is worth the price of admission alone. LOL
Me too. The reason I am looking forward to this is because it is more of a lesser known show that hasn't seen the light of day, I am guessing since the time it originally aired (someone correct me if I am wrong). With some other more obscure or rarely seen shows like Happy with Ronnie Burns & Yvonne Lime, Karen with Debbie Watson and a more familiar one, perhaps like Bachelor Father, maybe never ever getting a release by anyone, including ClassicFlix, it is great to see Angel being released. You just though never know what other rarely seen shows will come our way. Thank you.

I believe episodes of Angel were released on dvd previously but only as an exclusive through Shokus Radio. They were only selected episodes and I kept meaning to buy it back then but kept forgetting and also wasn't crazy about it only being selected episodes. Glad I waited though because I have faith that ClassicFlix will do it proper.

I got my Michael Shayne Mystery Collection from ClassicFlix on Sale the other day in my mail. :D I enjoyed them very much. Probably the Last DVD I will ever Buy. It's Not getting a Bluray upgrade so I decided to make it look like a Bluray for my movie collection. ;) I did some custom work and put it in clear Scanavo Bluray case and added the Poster art for the five films. :D The PQ is very good for DVD. I'm satisfied with it. Here's what it looks like.

I have the Shokus discs. They’re ok , but I’m sure CF will do a much better job. Let’s hope it sells, so we get the entire series!

Really hoping so. From what I've seen it was well-written and funny, better than most shows from that era that didn't last long.

I can assure you they will look fantastic. The existing episodes out there are all from 16 and are on the rough side.

The first 13 episodes we've scanned so far from 35 are so sharp and pristine, there actually won't be that much restoration work needed.

For those who haven't seen the raw scan clips we've posted, check it out...

Terrific looking! Rusty Stevens and Joe Besser in this clip. Rusty sounds just like his Larry Mondello character on Leave It To Beaver and Joe sounds much like his characters of Stinky in the Abbott & Costello Show and on The Three Stooges. Thanks for posting.

Classic flix has moved back the meet john doe release to may 14. I was expecting this as it now puts it one day from the anniversary of gary coopers death of may 13 1961. Warner is releasing friendly persuasion on the same day and kino is releasing high noon on may 7th the anniversary of his birth. I was expecting this for months to happen as may is the gary cooper month afterall. All of these movies were originally to come out in april so it wasn't originally planned like this.

Smaller companies and even bigger companies always have problems with delivery/ release dates . David has been very good about getting all of these releases out to the market place. I can’t think of one that was canceled. So eventually we’ll have it and I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
