Can my TV hold this center channel? (1 Viewer)

I am thinking of getting a new center channel which is rather large, weighing in at 61 pounds (Def Tech CLR3000). Due to its size I am a little worried that its to big for the top of my TV. My TV is a Sharp 36" direct view:

I plan on making a shelf for the center channel to rest on to help distribute weight and also the top of TV is not deep enough as is. I plan on padding the shelf in some fashion to help with sound reflecting off the TV screen.

Should I be concerned about the wieght of the speaker?

I have the Audax kit CC (~55 lbs) sitting on top of my 36" Toshiba direct-view. It causes slight bowing on the top, but nothing serious and nothing permanent. I would suggest putting a layer of rubber sheet or something similar between them to avoid any of the edges of the TVs plastic case cutting into the speaker cabinet.
