I just purchase basic Audioquest X2 14 ga. speaker cable to make a number of cables for 2 systems.
The 2 middle-of-the-road Audioquest BFA bananas are the CF-BFA (recommended on X2 box) and the SureGrip 300 banana plugs. The SureGrip 3oo is available everywhere while the CF-BFA is hard to find.
1. Is the SureGrip 300 a replacement for the CF-BFA banana plugs?
2. Is the CF-BFA higher quality or the same w/ a different sleeve design covering the wire insertion point?
3. Should I get gold or silver plated version?
Can I get some knowledgeable answers to these questions w/o any of the anti-Audioquest hate I so often read about, because I like the brand and have had great results with AQ.
Thanks you
