I suspect your display needs to be calibrated.
For SDR that can be done, but not for HDR. Displays tone map differently and all over the place...

Yup, which is why viewing variations are all over the place with our different HT setups. For SDR that can be done, but not for HDR. Displays tone map differently and all over the place...
I'm looking at the screenshot comparisons at caps-a-holic between the UHD and the Criterion disc and I don't see much difference in detail. In fact i see more detail in the Criterion disc. Am I the only one?

Yep, I agree. Something is odd. Caps-a-holic is good for resolution comparisons only, never color, and this is the first time I see the Blu-ray showing more resolution than the 4K.
Ah, finally a judgment of the video quality of the movie and not all the screen shot crap. Thanks. The 4K disc is better than the Criterion blu, as a result of better colour and HDR. There's not much of a difference in sharpness - the Criterion is just a little bit harsh looking, while the 4K is a bit smoother and more film-like. But overall, it's a pretty subtle difference.
I get my copy today and will compare it myself. Reports are the colors are washed out in the first 20min or so and there's a green tint, but I need to see for myself on my display. The 4K disc is better than the Criterion blu, as a result of better colour and HDR. Would you care to elaborate? What's wrong?Looks like the first 20min or so is in the wrong color space, then it's OK. This should be recalled. Kino messed up.

Oh lord not that guy please.
Has anyone compared the disc to the iTunes stream which is also 4k and Dolby Vision?
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=19491876&postcount=62031We've QCd this disc around a dozen times, so whatever you're seeing we're not and nothing went wrong during the encoding/authoring stage. The release has received 5 out of 5 for picture and sound by many prominent reviewers. You can return the disc for a full refund if you're not happy with it.
Corporate talk. It's clear as day there is a colorspace issue lol. There are some titles that separate those that know from those that don't know when it comes to reviews. Most don't know...As a colorist, for me it was not only easy to spot, but also easy to objectively measure in Resolve, as have others.
KL always says that when an error gets pointed out. They said some version of that about Bitter Moon, The Interpreter and Blackmail.
