"Ruin" has one of the deepest 3D shots I've ever seen. I showed it to a colleague (without warning him) who was so startled by it that he grabbed the arms of his chair and swore quite loudly.

I guess we could say you Ruined him.

Buh-dump-bump! :)

For the record, Feast was only 2D.

Never mind. Perhaps it is 3D. Internet movie database may be wrong and I don't have the UK Blu-ray to find out.

Not sure of what format "Feast" is authored as on the UK Big Hero 6 Blu-ray 3D, but I have personally verified "Feast" is in native-3D on both the Hong Kong & the India (region-free) releases of Big Hero 6 Blu-ray 3D. :)

Wikipedia: Feast (2014 film)

On January 28, 2015 at the '6th 3D Creative Arts Awards', "Feast" Won for 'Best 3D Animated Short/Narrative'.

I didn't realise about all of these, thanks Paul, the only one in the list I don't have is The Maze, it's selling relatively cheap in the UK but is the 'Ruin' Short as good as I have read it is ?.

Ruin 3D is an exciting short. An early labor-of-love, it was a major-project of Wes Ball. It's part of an ongoing story he created, giving time and artistic talent for imagery and detail, and making this a well-made, well-done 8½ minute CGI short.

Both eye-views combined, there are 17 minutes of imagery and the GGI eye-work variation makes it outstanding native 3D. One of the most detailed and effectively simulated live-action environments I've experienced.

Fantastic, Maze Runner is on its way so I'm looking forward to viewing this Short, thanks for the list again as I rarely look at extras.

phillyrobt sent a heads-up for correction of the # 8 spot where he thought there was an error on the "Cars 2 3D Blu-ray cartoon bonus list, where the [June (2011) “Hawaiin Vacation] cartoon is actually only authored on the 2D Blu-ray in the set. Have now verified that he is correct. Only the October (2011) “Air Mater” short is authored in 3D on the Blu-ray 3D in the set.

Thanks phillyrobt for the heads-up!

Message to an HTF Moderator: The first post #8 listing needs to be edited for accuracy.

Thanks.

Although they warrant a separate stop-motion category, New Dimensions and The Adventures of Sam Space are also on the 3D Rarities disc. Sam Space in particular fits the definition of "cartoon".
