I recently read a review about a PS2 racing game that involved crashing your vehicle into others and generally tearing up the city (and scoring extra points while doing so) while racing. The game received favorable reviews. This was within the last month, I think, so it is a fairly new release.

Of course, I absolutely cannot recall the title. Anyone know?

Sounds like Burnout 3 to me as well, very fun and addictive game.
