(I did a search on this, to no avail.)
Can anyone offer an opinon on the Rhino DVD of this film?
And, indeed, on the film itself, for that matter, which I have not seen. I regard Joe Don Baker as an exceptional character actor, and this seems to be one of his quintessential roles (and from his early '70s heyday to boot).

The DVD is merely adequate-- you might as well own the VHS (which I do) for the crappy quality of this release. Oh, how I wish Anchor Bay or Image had the rights to this!

The movie, however, is awesome. The best redneck revenge movie ever. The sequels with Bo Svenson aren't as good but are mandatory viewing, though.

I never picked this up since it was full frame & not OAR. I wish Rhino would re-release this film on DVD. It deserves better.
