I have avi files i want to make VCD (or svcd's). I have tried a program or two that says its making an svcd but it just comes out an mpg. Then do I just write that mpg to a cd? Cause ive tried that and my dvd player, which reads vcd's just gives an error...any help?

The files must be in a particular subdirectory, and have specific names (*.DAT or something). A program like Nero takes the MPEGs that you created and puts everything in the right place.

If the program you have claims that it creates VCDs, it should do that for you.

Once you have a (S)VCD compliant MPG file, VCDEasy is all you need.
