A friend of mine is building a home, and his wife wants him to install in-wall speakers. The salesman is recommending Triad speakers; I have no experience with this brand or with in-wall speakers in general. My suspicion is that they will sound small compared with a large video image. The system will have a DLP front projector and a 92" screen. Your help would be appreciated.

Triad is a high end speaker company mostly used by custom installers. They are trying to branch out into other markets of late, and their products are being carried by more dealers. There's a review of a set of their speakers in the new issue of Home Theater. From what I've been told they are very good speakers. As long as a speaker has a good dispersion pattern and can play at a relatively high volume without distortion, I don't see how it could sound "small" next to only a 92" screen.
