The Rolling Stones – with a little help from AARP – will play 16 cities across the United States and Canada in a new spring-summer 2024 tour, with stops including L.A.’s SoFi Stadium and New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium outside New York City.

The tour supports the new Stones album Hackney Diamonds, but a message on the Stones’ tour website says the band will play selections from that album as well as “fan favourite deep cuts” and the major hits including “Start Me Up,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Satisfaction” and more.

The tour kicks off April 28 in Houston and finishes up in Santa Clara, California, on July 17. The Hackney Diamonnds tour is promoted by AEG Presents’ Concerts West and is sponsored by AARP, the organization focusing on issues affecting people over the age of 50.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Dec. 1.

I really enjoyed the new album and I’d be interested in going to see the band play songs from it live, but if prior tours are any indication, the cheapest tickets for this tour will cost more than most other acts’ most expensive tickets. I hate that $500 is now considered a normal face value price for a regular concert ticket.

I thought the album was great, but a tour, I don't know?
Also, among the deep cuts, I don't suppose Brown Sugar was there anymore, right?

Anyway, they miss a drummer and a bass player from their original setup, so what about Paul and Ringo?
I'd see that. Even without Brown Sugar.

Last time I saw the Stones was on the Steel Wheels tour, in a stadium, and I vowed never to see them in a stadium again. If they were playing smaller venues, I would be in. No stadiums for me.
