Has The Moon-Spinners turned up on any of these Vault Disney nights? I'd REALLY like to see it in HD and the proper aspect ratio.
I don't see a response to your question, but unfortunately I have to tell you that no, The Moon-Spinners has not been shown.
Maybe later this year.

Thanks. I thought I had seen the schedules of all of the DIsney Vault nights, but I thought I might have missed one.

Follow Me Boys, the original Incredible Journey as well as Napoleon & Samantha; makes me feel like a kid again.

My wife is a huge Kurt Russell fan and has never seen Follow Me Boys, looking forward to introducing this one to her.

Well, I TiVo'd all the shows, but only watched Good Scouts and Follow Me, Boys! last night.
FMB is a favorite of mine, and has been ever since I was a kid, originally watching it on TV. Leonard Maltin calls it overly sentimental, and others may agree, but I love it!
I remember the first time I had the chance to see the complete version, as for many years the television version cut it down, eliminating, for example, the lake scene (scouts working on their merit badges). This was the best looking version I have seen, much better than the DVD.

Two things I noticed while watching:
  • The opening titles were not window boxed
  • They corrected a reverse shot of the Scouts looking at Mrs. Seibert's car driving off from the lake (the letter R on Tiger's cap was no longer backwards)
I hope this comes out on blu-ray. I'll re-join the Disney Movie Club for this one!

Looking forward to Follow Me, Boys...safely ensconced on my DVR.

I took the time to watch The Hound That Thought He Was a Raccoon. As much as I love Rex Allen and Winston Hibler, that presentation was one of the worst I've seen in a very, very, very long time. The colors were so faded there were times when it looked like a black and white film. It looked like it was lifted right off an episode of The Wonderful World of Disney...with the opening and closings still intact minus the opening theme.

It was the kind of thing which REALLY makes you appreciate the wonderful restoration efforts that go into so many of the films and TV shows that are released on a weekly basis.

Follow Me, Boys was great.

I may have seen it when I was a kid but don't remember.

Something occurred to me while watching this.

Was Fred McMurray bald?

I'm pretty sure I could see a wig line around the front and an distinct change of hair color around the sides to the back.

I may not have noticed without seeing this in HD on my 80" tv but I'm preety convinced he was wearing a toupee or wig or whatever.

Not that it matters but it was really noticeable to me.

I seem to remember a TV Guide article back in the 1960s that did more than speculate about prominent TV male stars who were toupee dependent. Among those I remember being pictured were Fred MacMurray, Lorne Green, and William Shatner.
