Alice in Chains- Grind

I love this song so much- it's just so gloomy and funky at the same time, like a party song that makes you kill yourself after dancing.

Queens Ryche: Silent Lucidity has got to be the best recording ever made by man. Id love to meet the tracking engineer that picked up that sound. WOW.

I was really surprised to see someone post "crash into me" by DMB? Come on, thats like a low tempo ballad thing. I wouldn't call that kick ass.
:)
If I had to pick stuff, i'd be more along the lines of:
Intensity: "NEW NOISE" by Refused
Foot tappin: "NEVER SAY NEVER" by that dog

Vince, someone posted "Billy Austin" by Steve Earle, which is a low tempo ballad too, but I agree, it kicks ass! :)
SO many songs... but I'll just mention the one I'm listening to right now: "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, that kicks ass on so many levels right now... it's a shame that songs is used in a jeans commercial that completely twists the message of the song.

hmmm...

Metallica:

--"Master of Puppets": That opening riff to this day is still one of my favorite riffs of all time and it just gets me pumped, and the part in the middle where it slows down then builds back up makes me want to break stuff..lol

--"Battery": Once again the riff and the temp of that Song just pump me up.

--"For Whom The Bell Tolls": As someone said earlier ..Badum Badum Bah!..

--"Whiplash": Adrenaline starts to flow, thrashing all around, acting like a maniac...WHIPLASH!!

I could name alot of other Metallica songs, but I will stop there.

Lamb of God:

--"Black Label": Awesome Intro and just a kick ass song.

--"One Gun": Double bass intro along with an awesome riff

Slayer:

--"Angel Of Death": Dont think this needs an explantion :-p

--"Mandatory Suicide": Nor does this...

I could go on and on but Ill just stop there...

I'm amazed that there's a whole thread on this and not a single mention of AC/DC. Here's a few off the top of my head:

AC/DC - Back In Black (among many others)
Metallica - Blackened, Battery and just about any early Metallica
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell and many others
Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
Van Halen - Running With The Devil
Def Leppard - Let It Go
Godsmack - I F'ing Hate You
Disturbed - Stupify

and many more...
