In reading the technical specs for most films, it seems that Panavision cameras and anamorphic lenses are used in filming.
I know from trying to obtain an anamorphic lens for my DV camcorder that it converts the 4:3 image into a 16:9 one.
Are regular movie cameras 4:3?
I know there are HD widescreen format cameras, what about analog (regular) movie cameras?
