This movie needs to be DVD'd in a big way. Very well acted, heartbreaking, humorous at times...and if you don't well up a bit in the eyes at the end then...well...you need to have your tear ducts checked.
Who would buy this one?

MGM is releasing this on 11/6.

... and what a horrible transfer it is too. very disappointing. certainly not the worst i've seen, but this thing could have been released back in 97 judging by quality MGM have served up. very surprising given that many of MGMs recent budget DVDs have had very nice transfers, albeit not reference. and what with their decision to go back to releasing non-anamorphic titles (i thought they had stopped this), MGMs seems to be going back to its' old ways. pity, i like this studios output.

With added new features including an audio commentary by Gary Sinise, I'm assuming a better transfer was used for this new release coming in March.
