I'd recommend you skip Polk's subs, even at discounted prices If you want a small, decent budget sub, I'd check out the Onyx X-sub for $199 at www.av123.com
Let me take the time to thank you for your opinions in this and other threads. I'm a regular lurker over in the speakers/subwoofers forum and find your advice to be both well-informed and well-intentioned.
Thanks!
I don't know when I might actually break down and move towards a new sub..but I can certainly tell I could do better than what I've got! I figure it will probably be a while. Lots of expenses ahead for me this year! But, then again, I never would have thought I'd have upgraded the rest of my speaker system like I have either...so...
Has anyone bought the R150s? I'm curious to hear how they sound because I am looking for a pair of speakers for the garage for working on the cars to go along with the stereo receiver I picked up at a yard sale for $5.
Well, i didnt get them from Outpost.com my order was cancelled. I called and they told me they dont use "real time" inventory,--they over-sold. I picked them up from a local Frys B&M for a bit of a bend over price, but i really wanted them, i like them much better than my M20's as fronts.
My question is, -crossover settings??, -system is R50 fronts, Csi25 center, R150 surrounds. Please advise,Thanks.
I know its off the topic. (great forums, been reading alot)
