Yes Brian, I understand that. I figured it was probably a meaningless rating, but just was wanting to compare it to a lot of the commercial sub amps. Was just reading up on some other types of subs and most had both RMS and peak ratings. It even seems a lot of times that the peak wattage is advertised and not the RMS, which of course is very misleading to some people.

I'd like to correct myself, again. I'm just not having any luck these days.

From playing with the amp, I didn't noticed any gains from running a Y to both inputs, I tried it again. No visible differences in Auto-on (never had any problems), and no noticable gain in volume of the sub.

I then decided to pull out the SPL meter to be sure. There was actually about a 3 or 4 DB gain from using the Y.

I also run a Y to both inputs on my amp. I noticed the same 3-4 db increase as you. I don't really need it, but I figured I'd keep the extra dbs!
