Opinion wanted on Sony HTs (1 Viewer)

New to Home Theater. I'm considering the Sony HT-6600DP versus the DAV-FC7 Dream System. It would be placed in my home living room entertainment center with Sony 27" WEGA flat screen TV (NO HD), and connected with a DirecTV Tivo unit, as well as a VCR. Living room dimensions approx 15' x 25'. What's the main difference between these two systems? (Other than 700Watts vs 600Watts.) Any recommendations? Anything would be helpful, as I am new to this. Thanks ahead of time.......

For the money, I think that you can do better than the Sony's. Check out separate components...Energy Take 5 speakers and perhaps a decent middle-range Onkyo or Panasonic receiver.
