I hold a patent on run-on paragraphs. Just FYI. I believe I have a legal right to royalties from the for-profit use of run-on sentences, as well, but I'm not allowed to discuss ongoing litigation in any detail.
No, seriously, a time crunch as I was trying to toss out a lot of ideas plus the disjointed nature of those ideas ... it's a recipe for disaster! I looked at that first paragraph after I posted it, then at the abbreviated following paragraphs, realized I was repeating myself by virtue of my many inserts and rewrites, couldn't find a grammatically justifiable way to split up the paragraph without eliminating the repetitions already present in it and, I feared, some of the specificity leant by that repetition ... and then threw my hands up and figured it'd do. Too many thoughts, too few hours to type 'em up coherently ....
Anyway, many thanks for the detailed info, Dave.
