Is there anyway to stop new browser pages being opened up every time is log onto certin web sites?

Disabling Javascript in the Internet Options usually does the trick but also disables legitimate site features.

The best bet is to get hold of a third party application. I'm sure some of the other people here will be able to recommend some.

What type of features will disabling Javascript disrupt. Maybe that is something I can switch on and off depending on where im at.
