They have 2 different copies at my local Best Buy. Both are identical to eachother, except one was released in 1998 and the other was 2004 or 2005. Neither one says if it is anamorphic or not. Amazon has it as anamorphic, Laser's Edge has it as non-anamorphic. Does anyone know? Thanks.

Yes, it is anamorphic.
I bought it in 1999 I think.
It's a flipper, one side fullscreen, the other anamorphic widescreen.

BTW, are we ever going to see a special edition?

Hmm. In that case I'd be extra careful to check that the re-release hasn't omitted the widescreen version altogether. Sony has done this with quite of few of their early releases (e.g. Last Action Hero). But if both versions are still on the disc, then the WS version is definitely anamorphic.
