Is 50 watts enough for a center channel speaker? (1 Viewer)

Lots of people say that the center channel speaker is the most important of all since 80% of the audio on a soundtrack comes from the center. Recommendations of 200 watts for the center are not uncommon. I think that dialogue intelligibility is what makes the center so important, not the percentage of the sound track in the center.

But if the speaker will be run with the "small" setting and has a measured sensitivity of 94 db, is 50 watts enough?

Thanks,

Artie

50 Watts is plenty. However I would recommend that the mains be the same voice matched speaker and are fed the same power to get a seamless front soundstage. 3 identical speakers and the same amount of power are ideal to acomplish this.
