I want sound from my speakers via TV (1 Viewer)

I'm having some difficulty and not sure how to get my sounds from my speakers from my tv?

I'd like my TV to have sound from my speakers, not TV SOUND from the TV SPEAKERS!

How do I do this?

Kevin,

I assume you have a AV receiver or amplifier

if you are using the TV tuner in the TV itself then hook up the audio out (left and right) to the amp/receiver; there may be an input marked video, or TV or aux any of these will work (so long as it isn't marked Phono).

if you are using a set top box for cable/sat it might have a digital optical/coax out - connect that to one of the optical/coax inputs on your amp/receiver. if it doesnt, then you can connect the L/R audio out from the set-top box to the amp/receiver

then when listening select the input on the amp/receiver
