Hi everyone, i am a newbie to the site. Any help is appreciated. I recently purchased an epson hd/3d projector and i love it. I am using a bose t20 sound system and a sharp aquos tv (not 3d)

my question is this; I have a samsung 3d blu ray input to the bose and i am using a hdmi splitter to feed the bose output to both the sharp lcd and the epson projector. Everything works great till i want to watch 3d. If i remove the splitter and run the output from the bose straight to the projector it works great. Once i hook up the samsung and the splitter no more 3d. It doesn't matter if the tv is on or off. The spitter says it is 3d capable/ready.

is there a better splitter? Can i make this work?

Nope. HDMI signals are "dumbed down".

If you bought a HDMI matrix it would work. But the matrix would have to go before the Bose and Sharp.

Samsung to matrix.

Matrix to Sharp
Matrix to Epson
Matrix to Bose

This would require a matrix with a separate optical output.

With a matrix you can "kill" the connection to the Sharp while using the Epson.
