Fifth Element R2 Superbit (1 Viewer)

Can anyone tell me how the Fifth Element R2 Superbit (French) compares to the R1 superbit in terms of picture quality and sound?

I've read that the R1 superbit is far superior than the R2 special edition, but I haven't seen a comparison made between the two superbits.

I have the French Superbit edition and I think it looks fine. Although I have heard that the Gaumont print is inferior to the Columbia print, so go for the R1 if you are unsure.
