Those single sided DVDs were not out very long at all!! They are very very hard to find IMO

The sets were selling at high prices when released and I got the S1&2 Set single sided but then waited for possible price drops and then they were OOP in no time.

Why would the singles go out of print at such high prices?

I bought the original double-sided discs, I bought the reissued single-sided discs (expect Seasons 10 & 11, which I STILL haven't found!) and I'll be ALL IN for the Blu-rays too!
I remember that you said you were looking for season 10 and 11. One thing I’ll be looking for is what if any extras we might get. For instance, would the Blu Ray set include the 4 television movies? Return to south fork , Dallas the early years, JR returns and war of the Ewings

Actually, the 2004 Return to Southfork was not a movie, but rather a retrospective; the other three were the movies (which is why it's a curious thing that the 2004 retrospective was included in the "movie collection").

I would assume that they simply didn't manufacture enough of those single sided sets to meet the demand. I also seem to recall some issues with Season 10 having some bad discs, which may be why that season is extra hard to find. If this truly does get a Blu-ray release, my wallet hopes that the price point is at least reasonable!

I assume they will release Dallas on Blu Ray and also put it on HBO Max. (assuming Discovery doesn't kill it first)

Any new word on the Dallas Blu-ray release or streaming on HBO Max?
When is this supposed to come out?

This latest news has been posted today on Dallas Fanzine Facebook page...

Dallas Fanzine

*NEWS* As Warner Bros gets ready to celebrate its CENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS in 2023 look out for #Dallas remastered in HD on HBO Max (and select partners in world territories where HBO Max isn’t available). Germany has already become the first country to begin streaming Dallas HD.
We can also expect to see the complete series remastered on DVD/Blu Ray in 2023. Check back for more updates because when we know more you will too!

And on their Twitter feed...

I think these DALLAS HD video clips are from a German streaming website where DALLAS HD has been streaming for the past few months (as posted above), and are not from Warner.

The guy who runs the DALLAS fan sites and is in contact with someone at Warner has posted on a DALLAS forum:

"Warner are remastering all of their TV back catalogue and that includes Knots Landing."

True. But there’s a lot of change at Warner with the new leadership who knows what they’re doing now

It makes sense that they would want to remaster all their TV back catalogue if it wasn't yet transferred into HD. There will come a point when anything left in SD won't be marketable. However, it doesn't mean physical media is where any of it is going. At this point, it could just be for streaming.
