Can I get a "Woooooah, Bundy"? DVDPlanet says Season 1, October 7th!!! (1 Viewer)

DVDPlanet has listed Married...with Children - The Complete 1st Season yesterday, showing a 10/7 release for a 2-disc set with all 13 first-season episodes. $29.95 list, and the only extras are bonus trailers (similar to the rest of Columbia's season sets).

What's really confusing about this is that there is NOTHING at Columbia's sites for this. Neither their consumer DVD sites (including the TV-on-DVD one) nor their password-protected press/retailer areas have a single word about this release. Truly mystifying. Except for Gord Lacey's phone conversation about this roughly a month ago, this would be a complete surprise with no forewarning whatsoever!

Perhaps they intend to make a big splash about the news at this week's VSDA show (which Gord is attending). If it wasn't for DVDPlanet listing it yesterday, we certainly wouldn't know about it, because no other e-tailer I can think of has it listed either. Maybe Planet jumped the gun?

Oh well...Bundy fans like me don't care. Wait for it...wait for it...wait for it....

Fantastic news!!! This is the one series I've been anticipating most for season sets, and it's finally happening!! Although the very first season wasn't exactly all that great, the ones which followed definitely were. I just hope they release these as quickly as the "Sanford And Son" sets, if not quicker. One set a year just won't cut it. But I'm definitely ecstatic about my favorite show finally coming out!!

I have just gotten in word - from someone I find completely reliable but who wishes to remain anonymous - that DVDPlanet got the date wrong somehow. That the date is 10/28. I was also sent the proposed cover art (which is a bit simple-looking, but not too different than other Columbia efforts).
