In the mid-80s I purchased a brand new Subaru station wagon with on-demand AWD. I loved that car (I remember when I bought it I had to wait for it to finish making the journey on the boat from Japan!).

I'll have to read up on tires again. I was familiar with my Honda's tires and knew what was good to buy and what wasn't. Fortunately, I should have a couple of years before I really have to think about this issue.

I had those tires on my Spectra and hated them. Poor traction and wore out way too soon.


Looks like Tire Rack reviews feel the same overall.

Same experience with my Honda: stock tires gave better mileage, but the reviews were they weren't the best tires for the car. I replaced them with better and cheaper tires when they wore out.
