Antenna set up near DC (1 Viewer)

Thanks for the answers on my earlier post about diplexers, that solved my worst problem of the inside wiring run.

I have a Terk55 which I need to set up, is it best to mount on the roof? My dish points south from the back of the house but I am not getting any reception OTA. Most (all) of the stations broadcast from the north.

Anyone had luck in the DC area?

I hang out in the Local HDTV section over at AVS Forums. Most people with reception problems have Terk antennas. They majority of people recommend Channel Master or Radio Shack.
