Welcome the Hour 7 of this season's 24, the most compelling hour on TV! :)
At the end of last week's episode of 24:
Kim and Miguel have taken Megan in Megan's dad's car while trying to get out of LA.
Jack's escorting Nina to some place via plane to get to some other guy who might have knowlege of the nukes.
Tony's interviewing Bob about payments he authorized to a known terrorist.
Marie's still wanting to get married to Reza, who's got now freaked out parents on his hands.
Kate's freaked out about her father's possible involvement with terrorists.
Mason coughing up a lung by now, Michelle will probably know that Mason isn't "right".
Palmer has no one he thinks he can trust, and will probably end up trusting the wrong people. Having Lady McPalmer in the house can't be helping his mental state of mind.
Lynn is keeping a low profile. Rayburn's replacement was too easily duped.

And Jack's companion from CTU (presumably assigned to make sure he doesn't do anything rash to Nina) just keeled over, apparently from something in the water bottle he was drinking.

But that may have been staged. I swear Jack drank a little from it before he gave it to him. Also, the guy by the plane is like, no big deal, when Nina tells him.

Not that that's really necessary - anyone sent from CTU to watch over Jack this day may wind up seeing their job as being to provide an alibi rather than hold him back.

Jack drank water from a different bottle, which is why he didn't pass out. He definitely did slip Ed something so that he could be alone with Nina. Also, if you watched the preview for tonight's episode....Nina tries to tell the guy by the jet that Jack drugged Ed, but Jack talls him Ed will wake up in like 20 minutes. The guy by the plane does not have a problem with this - I imagine if he's part of CTU or knows Jack, he isn't going to get in the way of Jack's plan.

Maybe, but I don't think it was staged. I think Jack didn't want anyone else between him and Nina so he can keep her in fear of him and how far he might go. He slipped his buddy a mickey to make Nina sweat.

Staged or not, in the end, there probably are a whole lot of people at CTU who will look the other way at whatever Jack does to Nina.

Anyone catch the teaser for this episode? It differed from the preview after last week's show.

It showed:
Kim and her BF getting pulled over by the police, and them opening the trunk to the Lexus. After seeing inside, Kim freaks out. I'd be willing to bet that what's inside is not a spare tire.

JUST watched this....and I wish this had been the 2nd act of a 3 hour special. It's one of those building the story episodes.

What's that drip drip drip I hear?
Jack shows INCREDIBLE restraint...so close yet....
Subtle cat fight anyone?
And what's that large red mark supposed to be?

Pay attention kids..they only say stuff once on this show!

When I saw the preview after last week's episode,

it's pretty obvious that the abuser-dude's wife is in the trunk

And I just finished watching it..."called it!" ;)

It's about time. Last week's seemed to drag on and on without doing much to advance thje storyline. Good episode this week though.

I didn't even see the preview till today. I believe I called the trunk thing in the last episodes thread :) A really good episode this week! Unfortunately the Kim stupidity will probably continue next week (she didn't do anything this week).

Barely 5 minutes of Kim! I was counting down the minutes to see if they could actually get off an entire episode without her and her nonsensical shenanigans. I was wrong. Why oh why would you speed when you're in a stolen car?

Whoever called the wife in the trunk way bac when - good call.

A pretty good episode, but having Lady McPalmer around is really reaching, and is getting old pretty quickly.

Guys, I only caught the last couple of minutes and I'm really kicking myself! (I missed last week's too).

Does anyone know where I might be able to find the episodes online?

Thanks!

I'm going to go program my vcrPlus for weekly recording now...

you can catch the replay on fx, im not sure when exactly

surprisingly light on the kim plot

the stuff with bauer and palmer is great

mason is a nice guy

good episode

the episode had the best line ever.

Nina: "Jack, when he sees me, he'll put a bullet through my head and turn the gun on himself."

Jack: "We'll make sure he doesn't turn the gun on himself."

i think sherry palmer is telling the truth, i think the show is using misdirection by reminding us of last season

What was Nina's mark on her back from? Anybody? Buellar?

What do you think she will use the gift card she stole for?

Good ep tonight. Can't believe they were speeding in a stolen car. STupid.

If I were Jack, I would of shot nina's shoulder or leg or something cause she was trying to escape. That would of scared her even more.

Ep built up alot of things. Next week should be good too.

Did Nina use the plastic card to slice the guys neck and escape? They didn't show anything but I kinda thought thats what she was going to do with it. Them things are sharp if used correctly :)

Nice episode, not the best, but still good. But like someone said earlier, it's building up on something to happen.

My favourite part was with Mason/Son. When his son is about to get all angry and say something only to be on the recieving end of Mason's hug. Getting Mason off at the end of the season could be the writer's biggest mistake. I think someone here said it, but Mason is Jack's foil. With Mason gone, they're gonna have to introduce someone else who could be Jack's foil and it'll take awhile for fans to accept.

What's with the tease at the end of last week's episode where you can hear Jack taking out his gun and cocking it.

I thought the worst part of the ep is gun to Nina's head. Dunno bout anyone else, but no real suspense for me there, I expected Nina to live. They did show her taking a card...of course there's gonna be some significance in later eps.
