After Nightline last night, Jimmy Kimmmel came on and he said they had paid his cousin Sol's way into the tournament and with the field down to 500, he was still in!! He's a complete poker novice who got a few tips from Ross Boatman.

As they went off the air, Sol was all-in for about 35,000 and won with A-Q against a bluffer's 4-2. The tournament was going on a 15 minute break before a final three hour session to end day 3.

I like Gus Hansen...wild fun to watch him.

Hellmutt seems to be the guy everyone hates, including me. Perhaps it's good to have him stay in for the tension.

I just remember Eric Seidel losing to Humberto (the Costa Rican dude, I think) 2-3 years ago.

Gus Hansen is out! (He was in a 3-way pot, drawing for a flush, got it on the river, but the pot winner had the bigger Ace-high flush, so Gus was gone!)

"Jesus" Ferguson is still in.

Julian Gardener is still in (he was runnerup to Robert Varkhonyi 2 years ago).

Doyle Brunson is still in.

The field is dwindling, I think we are now in the money (under 200 players left).

noooo not Gus

Cousin Sal is also out. And the last remaining celeb was Laura Prepon from That 70s Show, also busted.

I think Scotty is out. His name hasn't been mentioned as a high profile "survivor" at this point in the tourney.

They are down to under 100 players now.

I couldn't resist... I had to read the spoilers.

I hope at least two of the following make it to the final table:

Chris Ferguson
Doyle Brunson
Dan Harrington
David Ulliot

I know it's great to see amateurs make final tables, but I want to see some people that I know make it as well!

The final 32 is filled with lesser known players (with the exception of Harrington, Ferguson, and Gardener, and perhaps Raymer). Stack sizes range from $190K to $1.8million

Play had slowed down because no one wanted to be the 16th place finisher because of the $100K difference in prize money for 15th place ($175K vs. $275K).
