I know there are a few out there like WWII in color and WWII the lost color archieves( which is kinda pricey at Amazon, something like $38- is this a 2-Disc set?). How are these titles, and are there others I should look at also? thanks

I've got the Lost Color Archives one and enjoyed it. Can't comment on the other, haven't seen it.

I've got both, and they are both enjoyable in their own ways. If price is an issue try dvdpricesearch.com, I think you can find both for much more reasonable prices.
I thought WWII in Color had some excellent combat footage, but it seemed to be kind of brief... wish it included more, but what it did included was very interesting. Highlights for me were the Africa campaign, the Luftwaffa V1 rocket program, and the Tarawa landing.
I'll have to rewatch the Lost Color Archives, sorry I can't remember more... but from what I do remember it was quite good. What sticks out in my mind from this was the Nazi Propaganda films, and the bonus footage montage at the end of disc 2.
Another good program... Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie.
As far as Black & White footage, I really enjoyed Great Blunders of WWII, lots of nice footage that I haven't seen in other features.
Never seen the new set thats coming out, The World at War, but this sounds like its gonna be really good as well.
