Last Man on Earth is a very funny show and has been renewed for season 2. Just because a show has a stupid character(s) or one that does stupid things, doesn't mean the show isn't smart (Get Smart). It's perfectly fine if people dislike stuff others like and vice versa, I have trouble understanding what people see in shows like King of Queens.
'64 - '69 is my favourite era in TV, there are a lot of shows from this time period that I watched in syndication when I was a kid that I still love today. They are still easily re-watchable. My favs are The Munsters, I Dream of Jeanie, Voyage To the Bottom of The Sea and Dark Shadows.
